Boring as hell but anyone using and can recommend a decent retractable washing line for outdoor use?

Getting our eldest a swing which is going to have to occupy the space we currently use for the fixed one.

Cheers!

We have a minky double line we got in Argos years ago. Still works, as we have it quite long (5m+) we need laundry poles to support it too.

They're okay but the line stretches and the cleat things always wear out. It's pretty windy here though.

OUr Minky one seems to do the job, although you have to double wrap the cleat when hanging your bike from it!

Can't remember what brand ours is but I bought some stainless boat cleats at the same time and fastened them to the wall and the fence. I never trust the plastic bits at either end to hold laundry off the lawn.

We had six years out of a Minky double. Would recommend. Replaced it with an identical one last week as it was beginning to get frustrating to use. The retracting mechanism was beginning to get slow and would occasionally jam, the plastic outer of the cable had split in the area where it wraps around the doofer and there were a couple of other splits in the line.
Really happy with the use that we got out of it over the years, they are not expensive, and by replacing with an identical i didn't need to re-drill anything.

I blame threads like this due to social distancing and lockdown, next we will get what tumble dryer sheets should I buy spring awakening or summer breeze
What are the best tights to buy ? M&S,Asda or push the boat out for Pretty Polly

Get the one with the slightly larger cable wheel.
Really makes hanging washing come alive.
