number 2 did annoyingly well, the ambitious incentive payment I foolishly agreed to (she came up with it) is going to kill me 😀

Results day again today.

Daughter smashed it. Well pleased! Off to a top notch local college in September via a day trip to Leeds Festival tomorrow.

@scuttler - I could post an identical post. Binnerette number 2 has also smashed it (thank god she got her mothers brains!) and is presently on her way to Leeds, but for the whole weekend. May the lord have mercy on her soul! 😀

Another surprisingly bright child here as well, easily made it to the 6th form college she wanted.

Little miss JP is very happy with two 9's, seven 8's and two 6's in English, she wasn't expecting to do really well in those because the exam hall was stifling hot for two of the exams and she has the celtic fringe genes from me. Chemistry, Maths and History A Levels beckon. She seems most concerned about one of her best friends having good enough scores to continue at the school.

Again don't know where the brains come from, I blame the 'Mum Omega' supplements my wife took during pregnancy.

My eldest and all her friends are off to Leeds for the weekend too! She did really well especially in English where she has always struggled with dyslexia so it was with some relief that she got grades high enough to get into sixth form college which has a fairly high bar if you are not from a feeder school.
