Can anyone recommend a restaurant or good foodie pub near the Barbican? It needs to serve traditional English food (roast, steak, etc) because one of the group doesn't eat rice, pasta, curry, noodles, etc.
Hmm, most places will be closed of a weekend round there.
I [i]think[/i] the [url= http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/14/14118/Castle/Farringdon ]Castle[/url] by Farringdon Tube does food. I can't vouch for it's quality, as I've only ever drunk in there, but they do good beer.
I'm struggling to think of anywhere really, that will be open in that area, of a weekend evening.
Try this - loads of decent pubs around Smithfield / Farringdon and somewhere will be open. Smiths and St John are the best but not cheapest.
