Now the nights are drawing in, my Calor gas heater is in need of tlc.
Any thoughts of how to get the ignition repaired and get a check on it?

Thanks in advance.

To be totally above board you'll need someone who is GasSafe registered with an LPG ticket. Go to https://www.gassaferegister.co.uk/ to find a local engineer.

Having said that, sometimes you can get to the ignitor without having to disturb any gas pipework/fittings/seals/etc. The most common fault I've seen on these, assuming it's a piezo ignition, is damaged insulation on the wire causing the spark to appear where the damage is. Simplest check is seeing if you get a spark at the tip where you should. If not, keep clicking and see if there's an spark anywhere along the wire to a nearby bit of metal. If this is the case it can be (temporarily) fixed by wrapping the damaged bit of wire with electricians tape.

Cheers, I'll start with contacting Calor first, I would like it thoroughly checked over, or its a new one
