Rich - Went to the 20th birthday of Warp Records last week. Despite the fact Aphex Twin is touring and has a place nearby, he didn't turn up. Was gutted.

Maybeshewill are good in a heavy post rock fashion....
N-Dubz ...well it kept me amused...better than expected!
My ISP is probably about to get upset at me. Thanks guys! Some names I know, some names I don't.
The "recommend me" option has now completely died from all the random picks 🙂 I confused it before by downloading Slayer and Bach at the same time, for weeks it refused to recommend me anything but Apocalyptica and the metallica S&M album. But now it's just dead...

First time I've seen Sunn O))) described as jolly nice 🙂
Saw them a couple of days ago for the first time and was totally blown away it was the only gig I've been to where earplugs were reccomended and were given out on entry to the venue
Quality. Reminds me of old live Godflesh stuff a bit. Man I need to get some new music too.
Anyone remember Throbbing Gristle? They brought a new one out recently. Not heard it though.
Jesu, Justin Broadrick's latest project have a new EP out - Opiate Sun not heard it yet myself though
Cool. Think I've got Silver lying around somewhere. I'm gonna dig it out now you've reminded me. Techno Animal was another one of his as well I think.
just found an archive of Q albums of the year from 1986 onwards...rocklist

You could give Khanate's Clean Hands Go Foul a try if you're really up for a challenge (definately not for the faint hearted)

Genius. Second Bad Vilbel has got to be one of the benchmarks of electronic music. Quality video too.
"Spoon (definately check this out)"
...didn't they do that awesome video with the little yellow dancing robot?
*Hang on...*

voomvoom - Plaid played last weekend at Warp20 as well. Amazing set.
Second Bad Vilbel has got to be one of the benchmarks of electronic music.
They've written so many seminal tracks, it's scary. Krib is my favourite though. Saw them live a few times in that era. Stunning 😀 Also remember being at The Fridge in Brixton a few weeks before Tri Repetae came out. Bloke in the back room played the whole album, and within a few seconds it was obvious what it was. For me that's what distinguishes the very best electronic artists.
My personal favourite at the moment is 'Flutter' from 'Anti-'...
but you're right benji_allen, Second Bad Vilbel is amazing!

King Midas Sound - Waiting For You
Shackleton - Three EPs
I've made it to the bottom of page 1! Wooo! Not actually listened to any of it yet mind. My phone lines are glowing.
Check out Ben Frost's "By the throat", and Dirty Projectors' "Bitte Orca". Two very different but great records released this year that won't fade in greatness anytime soon.
Having folky stuff on at the mo.....
Mumford and Sons
Fleet Foxes
Thanks to 59 times the pain for recommending Russian Circles, I've got loads of there stuff now and am loving it and playing it loud!
Cheers.
Gordon Gano and the Ryans "under the sun" new CD is pretty good listening.
Anyone digging M83's first two albums would also probably enjoy Ulrich Schnauss.

Here's a tune on youtube.
I must get his most recent album actually.
The Appleseed Cast
