Two files, appear to be the same film, and appear to be 1080p, but one is 2.5 times as big as the other. Both are .mkv.

Normal..?

Are you downloading illegally?
Quality of file or number of pixels, the difference between regular tv or hd or something like that?

7 gig+ is mormaly 1080p.
720 is 4+ although you will struggle to tell the difference with a "720" rip half that size.

Different compression settings or format within the file.
