It's not the most powerful, but handy for odd jobs.

It's frickin' awesome, I used mine to cut a hole in sterling board to fit an extractor duct with the milling bit.
That corded one is a good buy, half the price of a spare battery for my 8200, only compromise is it only goes down to 10krpm (mine is 5k rpm) and the cord (obviously).
Thats about the same price as a trip to the dentist

Similar noise, too... 👿
These are great if you have a dremel:

It's on sale at Amazon too fwiw.
Marked, may treat myself.
Think I'll pick one up at lunchtime. I like the tool less change and the Speedclic cutting discs which are the main reason my old B&D Wizard isn't used that often
Heh...Amazon are so greedy. We want all the sales!
Speedclic is great, wee bit more expensive but so much more convenient. I love my dremel, it's a bodger's tool but that's fine, I'm a bodger. I have a compressor and a die grinder and all that good stuff but it's all a pain in the arse, I barely use it. The dremel gets used loads.
Not sure how the cordless ones perform compared to the wired ones but teh extra convenience of that seems pretty worthy too
My speed control only works across half the slider after only a couple of uses*
Was looking at buying parts but 25 for completely new...
Edit: *years not uses
It's powerful enough to machine down the thickness of a chainring
A flexible shaft is the best thing on the dremel I bought, allows you to do so much more.
£55 on Amazon now. Only B&Q seem to have the deal.

Aye, mine is hung up in the garage with the snake thing hanging down at arm's length, so useful. Less tiring to use, too.
Is this not the same at £25 spacemonkey?

Yup, Speedclic is awesome, so much better than the old screw on method of attaching, the wheels seem to last much longer.
has anyone got any of the other rotary makes?

Yes, it is.
Anyone going to B&Q, they're still marked up as £45 but £25 at the till.
Thanks, just ordered one from Amazon - I've been waiting for a deal on one of these. Is there a new model coming out or something?

Exactly; I popped into my local B&Q on my way out this afternoon, and they were marked £45, I checked online for my local store, which I was standing in, and that showed £25, double checked with a staff member, who confirmed that was correct, just take to the till.
Thanks for the tip-off, I've been meaning to get a proper Dremel to replace the old copycat version that I've had for years, and this is perfect.
Got loads of tools already, so I'm all set up.
Yes, it is.
It is indeed. Think I'll grab one.
Was defo £55 earlier - same model and reviews. Maybe stock went AWOL.
Great PSA. Needed one to replace a scabby B&Q style one. Ordered- thanks
Sweet, thanks. Just what I needed for some work I was going to do over the weekend.
Complete winner
My Amazon Fresh shop came to sixty quid
I had a voucher for £20 off a £80 shop
😀
Awesome PSA, just nabbed one. Thanks!
A slight thread hi-jack, I rather like my dremel, but I never know what bit to use. This afternoon I have been mostly melting plastic with it, rather than cutting 😕 Oh, and I also have a couple of the grindy-type-thingies covered in possibly melted aluminium.
