Following on from my last post, after a lot of pain and searching, I found this very useful site and service - www.pensioncraft.com
It's a fairly new site and offers guidance on fund selection techniques, mathematics, strategies etc.
There is a lot of free content on it, including interviews with big-name companies and a downloadable guide.
I've had a couple of video sessions with Ramin and I am very impressed with his knowledge and approach.
I said to him that I'd share this on Singletrack.
I hope this helps anyone else who is trying to work out which funds to select for ISA/pension.
Cheers HBB, sort of thing that I really need to be brave about looking into. Due to being away from the UK workforce for a number of years I'm doomed to poverty in my retirement if I don't do something about it soon.
I decided that I wasn't a better judge of investments than people who do it for a living. I gave my pension funds to a company called Samwealth in Glasgow where a keen mountain biker who frequents this forum looks after me very well.
My first consultation with my ISA from there took place after a bike ride on Cannock Chase together. He doesn't mind travelling to clients.
