Spooky how that happened isn't it?

You start criticising the President of a powerful and secretive nation then next thing you know you've been shot! ๐Ÿ™„

Putin has taken personal responsibility for the investigation.

When it comes to questioning the chief suspect he's going to need a mirror.

Criticising the Kremlin, even more dangerous than criticising Kirchner.

Things seem to be quietly escalating. China siding with Russia too ... further sanctions against Russia planned soon. Things can only get more interesting.

Good job I got flat feet and a perforated eardrum is all I will say...

I doubt China is siding with anyone but themselves. They'll just be trying to leverage a better deal for themselve.

Do the Chinese have a desire to have a strong belligerent neighbour?

Met Boris a few times at Russian conferences in the 90s. Shocking news. He was tipped for power then. Strong regional power base at the time. Interesting and passionate speaker.

Mrs Oldman just asked "If Russia is so damn big and they've got all those resources, what's their problem"?

I think they've probably all got tiny willys.

I have a feeling things will get worse, however, if this does not start the ball rolling on Europe finding a way to get clean renewable energy then what will?
Germany is very dependent of cheap Russian energy, China have just managed to get a good deal from the Russians on a long term gas deal and the Saudis are in the process of trying to shaft every petro producing nation on earth, interesting times.

Could be another chance to make a bit on Russian stocks as this unfolds, I sold when the 'peace-fire' started. In and out quickly though, keep an eye on the oil price as well.

To begin with, everyone agrees that Putin is a brilliant strategist and politician. Against all odds, Putin has so far brought Russia from the brink of utter poverty, disintegration, and disaster. One has just to watch him improvising a press conference, calmly, competently, and tirelessly, to realize that one is dealing here with a real, almost forgotten, specimen of a lost art: superb statesmanship.

I'm definitely getting this guy to write my CV.

Putin clearing the decks for some good ol' hardline despotism on the way to further expansionism and a resumption of a new Cold War, imho of course ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

By tomorrow the love triangle angle will be forgotten and Nemtsov will be charged with recklessly running at innocent bullets and, for when he fell dead on the pavement, littering.
