Did anyone else watch this over the weekend on PBS? https://www.pbsamerica.co.uk/series/azorian-raising-of-k-129/
I'd read a bit about it before but didn't know any of the details - fascinating two-parter on all the engineering challenges etc.

I didn’t watch the program but read all about the project on the BBC News site a few weeks ago.
It sounds like something from a James Bond novel. However I can see why the USA devoted so much time and effort to the whole thing. It would have provided masses of information on the USSR, it’s nuclear weapons and the submarine and cryptology they were using.
Overall a fascinating idea and I’d love to have seen the program 😀
