[Closed] Problems with new iPad not syncing properly with iTunes.

So I have just recently bought an iPad Air as I thought I could use it for work as well as at home. I tried to sync it with iTunes on my PC (Windows). Inititially it wasn't recognised at all by iTunes but after some diagnostic checks it downloaded some update or other and I was able to start syncing. The problem is it only syncs content that I have bought off iTunes directly and not the hundreds of other stuff I have uploaded from CDs or playlists etc. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be apreciated.
