Daughter wants to print some pics onto ordinary paper , does this work very well ? don't you need proper photo paper ?It's for a hen night collage .
Also ink levels are low , will you get good results getting cartridges refilled , generic cartridges or genuine HP ones ?

avoid the refilled ones, they dont last to long and the ink doesnt dry,or ther ones ive used do.

The thicker the papaer the better.

Dont forget to set the printer to the paper youre using, and select Photo, as opposed to text.

Assuming quality isnt too high on the agenda you will be "ok".

Printing individual photos on A4 will look "ok" from a couple of feet or closer after a few beers. The wont look like real photos - more like photos in a newspaper.

Under the same circumstances refills / cheapo's would be ok too.

Dunno if that's what you wanted to hear.
