[Closed] Poetry Competition

Like the falling seeds of the plane tree
The Big Bike Bash
spikes in your eyes and throat
Making you cough
When is it again?

Roses are red
Violets are blue
This isn't really a poem
Just a blatant attempt to advertise a bike event without paying for any advertising space.

Hmm, that does scan rather well, I think.

With frisky college girls and mature women bored at home
Spurting spouting pouting grouting
Sheep horses monkeys and shellfish
Frottage and bondage and nylon pantyhose
Strangulation and thin children in the cellar
Wibbling, bouncing grinding and howling
Frontwards backwards sideways and with a big black spikey one
In frilly knickers and leather basques
Broken down washing machines, secretaries and staged kidnap plots
Barely legal dirty grannies with no teeth
Bonking stonking fisting blistering
All shaven and oily with lots of tattoos

We know now they were wrong

The internet mostly advertises the Big Bike Bash
At least until there is another Hit The North

Keep up the poems, they are quite good but I might struggle to get BigDummys latest entry on the website*.

*It mentions HTN and I don't think people should use other peoples websites for free advertising.

Is that a rule? I didn't know thta - I thought the only rule apart from the construction was that it should contain an incontrovertible truth? (I think that's covered by the nerds in tents bit)

Whilst we are not mentioning BBB, how is it going WCA ? Is a website update due ? Anymore band names released ? My kids are looking forward to it ( as am I )

Muke - I will be sending out an update email soon to all ticket holders. For some reason since being made redundant I don't have the time to do stuff. Weird.

Also we are now relying on ticket sales to pay for deposits and stuff rather that me just bank rolling the whole thing and getting the money back afterwards. So, if you can encourage anyone who is planning on coming to buy their tickets now I would appreciate it.
