Place for a week/few days May half term

We are looking for somewhere nice to take the 2 kids and 1 dog. Somewhere in the sticks, with a bit of comfort (wifi essential for my lad!)...but mainly nice walks for the dog, near to a pub.

Anywhere a few hours from Midlands...

Has anyone been anywhere recently that fits the bill?

Can recommend Graig Wen at Arthog near Dolgellau. Wifi is not on the list but the location more than makes up for a break from the norm.

Malham all booked up, but looks lovely.

I love the Mach area, but thanks to Spud we have just booked Graig Wen (Ty Adar) for the week. Can't bloody wait...
