Should I go Phil woods kiss hub with eno freewheel or just go hope trials. What to do?

Going to rig it up to a 29er crest.

do you want bling, or weight? phil are gorgeous and with a WI freewheel will last for ages, but man they're heavy. Hope trials hubs, heavy ish, boring ish, break quite a bit with heavy single speed usage-ish.

Tazzy, you seem to suggest both options are heavy. Is there a better option (either screw on eg. White/Paul/Surly) or splined (CK/Hope/DT)?

The Phil hubs are heavy, yes, but mine are still on the original set of bearings after 9 years of pretty heavy use, in all weathers.

I'm on my second WI freewheel in the same amount of time - the original was still running even though it was missing several teeth and the bearing was shot. I've still got the original, which I'll probably rebuild at some point.

For fit and forget durability, I'd get the same if buying again.

I used the hope hub I found it a light weight reliable hub especially with a light cog.
