Well, the code on the ticket suggests she wasn't parked as suggested by the fpn. An appeal isn't going to hurt... Do it, appeal......

Well....I reckon go for it OP. I'd contest it, in the wrong or not. I'd much rather stick that fine money in a charity box than pay it to the local council.
Having mulled this over last night further. We've decided that the path of least resistance lies with just paying the £35 fine.
If she contests it, she may lose, so we're then liable for the full fine at £70.
At the end of the day, the o/h parked in a place she shouldn't have, so she'll have to suck it up, wrong code on the ticket or not.
So all the hand wringers can feel smug and warm that they're right and we're wrong for even thinking that we should contest it.
