[Closed] Pain management clinics

Mrs S has had five microdiscetomies over the last 8 years. The last op was very invasive. She is in daily pain. Bad pain and her prescribed codeine / paracetamol tablets are losing the battle. She's feeling a tad lost at the moment. Like she had the surgery and a follow up but now she's on her own. She is about to lose her job as a result of accrued absence over the years. Has anyone any experience of a clinic for chronic pain?

Ta.

sounds shit derek

there are plenty of other drugs 'n' shit that may suit her and pain clinics do sometimes get good results (not used one but a colleague worked with a local chronic pain team for a while)

A colleague of my wife's uses one for her MS, and swears by it.

My wife has MD and has tried everything, yes everything, and has recently discovered acupuncture on the NHS.

It does seem to work ๐Ÿ˜‰
