Ok, the cheap BnQ drill we got over a year ago is no more and i've got a fair bit of screwdrivering to do (plasterboards). I know what I would like to have (makita impact driver) but my budget will not stretch to that as I've got about £40 to spend (the wife has the purse strings!).

gimme what you got.

Oh yeah need to be able to get it in the next 48 hrs!

Sorry.

Pop into local Tool Station you can pick up 'em up in there pretty cheap, reasonable quality too which is prib a tad better than the B&Q stuff

Or borrow one?

The grey and red B&Q ones are a decent quality for DIY and are usually had for about ~£50. I just bought a Hitachi with two li-on battery's from B&Q for £99. It's dead light and managed the 20mm holes I've just drilled in my block paving no bother at all.

I bought two ryobi+one drill drivers and put in over 9000 plasterboard screws with them and the are still fine , not lion but three batteries kept me going!
. They really are not that bad!
