They were on that car diving advert recently too.
Master of the Universe I think?

Found it:

Works really well too.

'If no wheels are available metal, not organic, limbs should be employed whenever practical!!'

Always had a softspot for Hawkwind. One of my fave tracks (Urban Guerilla):

I miss Bob Calvert.
Not half the band without him.

Bob Calvert was a total genius. I saw him play with ICU a few times and he was amazing live. Captain Lockheed was just a masterpiece, prob. the best 'concept' album ever, and definitely the best concept album with Lemmy playing on it.

Silver Machine's my favourite Hawkwind track. Saw them years ago in Bath, must have been around '75, probably the Warrior On The Edge Of Time tour, because Stacia was with them, and she left in '76. Disappointed she didn't get 'em out for the lads, though. 🙁

Aah, Hawkwind, those were the days.....

Worked with 'em a few times in the '80's, great bunch of folks.
Saw them live many, many times too.

Was one of the 'noizeboyz' for a few years at various venues around the country.

Did a little bit of lighting too but sound was my speciality

Saw them back in 1991 or 1992. I think. Can't remember much of the gig 🙂

I remember my mum looking up from her knitting and asking "why are they singing about a sewing machine"?
