I take it the only reason no one has started a business that sells this infinite energy is that they don't want to pay tax?
People don't like windfarms in their back-yards. 😐
lots of people saying "scrap trident"
the thing is that trident is just one huge scam at the moment anyway, so the reality would be pitiful savings... a couple of pictures of submarines and the money we pay to the storytellers who bang on about how important and it is and how far reaching the benefits are. The trident budget actually pays for the gold plated, diamond encrusted toilet paper in Chequers. Nuclear deterrant was shelved by Maggie...
Oh, and extra people here? It's a little crowded already...
Always space for those willing to contribute.
People don't like windfarms in their back-yards.
Yes, because windfarms are going to solve our energy problems. 😐
Cut all benefits to the self-made unemployed and cut all medical attention to self-inflicted/lifestyle related illnesses sufferers.
They die out, thus Darwin's evolution theory is restored. The human race can then evolve again.
cut all medical attention to self-inflicted/lifestyle related illnesses sufferers.
Don't almost all illnesses have some component of "lifestyle" to them?
Or are you just talking about the ones where the sufferer has put themselves in obvious harms way? Like mountain biking?
I'm glad the STW hive mind is not running the country, it would make the current idiots look smart...
As the Chancellor doesn't now set interest rates, arguable a very large part of his job, I'd remove a very large part of his salary. I'd back date that to all Chancellors since the Bank of England started doing their job for them.
Means tested fines. If a fine is supposed to be deterrent, why does unemployed Joe Bloggs gets the same fine as some multi-billionaire?
Take the millionaires from Monaco etc?
Oh, and extra people here? It's a little crowded already.
Monaco 2nd most densely populated country in the world UK 53rd.From what I hear Monaco is not exactly an overcrowded ghetto either...
Sell Trident on the open market to the highest bidder, free trade and all that. The Yanks would probably stump up the cash to stop it being bought by any of the rogue states 🙂
There's a market and demand for infinite energy.
I take it the only reason no one has started a business that sells this infinite energy is that they don't want to pay tax?
If this theoretical exodus of the 1% did occur, you'd really only be loosing the CEOs, directors and executives, not the research scientists, who are almost exclusively employed by our universities, whose funding has just been cut.
WunUndred 😀
so IF they did all decide to bugger off
where they going to go?
scrap trident.
legalise drugs have a 50% tax on them.
cut back the army, navy and airforce to domestic defence only.
change tax rates, sliding scale from 0% for under £15,000, to 100% for over £200,000.
Stop the Police saying 'Hello' three times whenever they question or arrest someone - it's a massive waste of resources, surely once is polite enough?
Fit small generators to the wrists of teenage boys and connect them to the National Grid.
Swingeing tax on fake tans, personalised reg plates, non essential plastic surgery and hair transplants.
Dog licence, charged in proportion to the weight of the dog.
