wolly has it, shirley.

Another category where the Blues Brothers is a strong nomination though.

Ronin, but if I have to be different then the French Connection is a contender.

French Connection or possible Fast & Furious 6, extra points for using a 200 mile runway and launching a car through an exploding plane.

Seriously ?????

Have none of you ever seen Peter Fonda in "Dirty Mary Crazy Larry"?

Utterly utterly epic. It will never be bettered, I've seen the ones previously mentioned on this thread and thoroughly appreciate them but you simply must see this film before you can judge the others.

Bourne Supremacy. Not necessarily the best driving, but the filming and editing is fantastic.

The French Connection for featuring actual near misses that weren't planned.

The original gone in 60 seconds.

What I liked is that the in-car shots when going over the bridges ( also in the part 2 video ) was apparently a case of strapping a board across the 2 open windows of the car ( in front of the driver ) and bolting a camera to the board and booting it over the bridges full pelt without any prior permissions ... nuts.

The Matrix

That Matrix chase was too long, overblown & boring, sorta sums up why I hate the sequels.

+2 for Bessons'

Vanish Point and Crazy Larry Dirty Mary are both excellent and would of been my choices.

Bullet drives me mad with the sound of constantly changing gears so fake.

Herbie has to be in there with a shout ๐Ÿ˜€

The motorbike chase in Skyfall was pretty good - you would have thought that everything in that kind of set piece had already been done, but no.

Motorbike/truck in Terminator 2.

That Matrix chase was too long, overblown & boring, sorta sums up why I hate the sequels.

I think you have to look at it in the context of when it came out, not in

Taxi. The entire movie is basically a car chase.

The subway chase in T2 used to be my go-to "showing off my amp and speakers" scene.

Was it the second Matrix film which had the Ducati chase? That.

The film got panned (but I like it)

Quantum of Solace has a brilliant opening sequence with Bond being chased by Alfa Romeos in the Aston.
