[Closed] Oil Central Heating

Right, i have my heating on in the morning for and hour, then an hour when i come home from work and possibly an hour or 2 later if its very cold.

talking to someone today who has there boiler turned turned right down and runs their oil for 12 hours a day and reckons they arnt burning any more oil than they did when using it the way i am.

now i can see where they are coming from as its not heating from cold everytime they hit boost for an hour but can it possibly be as cheap running it like that?
