Ruddy typical. Two weeks or so of glorious weather and as of tomorrow, it looks like it is going to break and lash it down.
So, two adults, three kids and one dog in a tent near seascale, in heavy downpours and thunder storms 'till Sunday.
Not the most appealing prospect.
So so close to bailing out.

We're at a pissing music festival so no chance of bailing that one!

First time camping with the Mrs in 15 years this weekend and the NE is supposed to getting thunder showers. We were supposed to get them the other weekend too though and got a light shower.

Forecast suggests that where we are the best time will be Friday afternoon with just light showers....the rest of the time is either heavy showers or thundery showers.

Our forecast for a week last saturday was biblical. We were out sipping beers under sunny skies for the evening. The Lakes has its own mind when it comes to weather

Do you sit in the house when it rains?
Are you made of sugar?

Just do it.

Camping in the rain is shit.

Do you still live in a mud hut?

Snap here in the NE.

Mind it was the south that got it, again, so we all had to hear about it.

You can go on all you frickin like about no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes, blah blah blah, but camping in the rain is still a bit shite.

And the prospect of trying to dry out five persons clothes and a hairy dog in a tent, continuously and repeatedly getting wet, is why it's a concern.
That's why I'm not so keen to "just do it".
