Just found this wee site showing obesity levels in the US over a 25yr period.

Pretty scary that.

It would be good to see that alongside other lifestyle indicators such as car usage, income levels etc.

The place that I got that from shows that leisure time physical activity has gone up over the same timescale, but that non leisure time physical activity has plummeted. Also showed that TV use has gone down, but screen time as a whole had doubled.

the U.K. will not be far behind.
there were only 2 fat kids at school (i'm very middle aged) now you see pie-eaters everywhere.

Apparently the obesity epeidemic started way back in the 60s.
