Me, the boy and the dog are off to the west coast and plan to wild camp Friday and Saturday night. What are your recommendations? We could take the bike or we could walk in.

Port Appin, if that's not too far a drive from Oban for you (I think a 40 minute drive or so).
There's a very easy coastal circuit from the pier at the end of the road with a really cool rock arch and some wee caves. Lots of nice flat grassy pitches near the seashore also.
