hello

on Saturday I made a pre-ride smoothie of a bannana, a raw egg, linseeds, chia seeds, soya milk, choc milkshake syrup a kiwi and some porridge oats. it was alright and was super fast all morning.

will the oats have lost their 'power' by me chopping them up etc in the smoothie ?

In a word, Yes

Oats are similar to Samsons hair.

Yep. 2 raw eggs this morning after the gym - cheaper than a protein supplement.

Once upon a time I used to drink some raw egg after a workout.

Then one day I got horrendous food poisoning from it. Off work for 2 weeks.

You'd absorb more protein if you cooked them 1st, taste a little better too.

But cooking eggs means you have to chew them and chewing things makes them loose their power ๐Ÿ™‚

That sounds ****ing rank. Couldn't you make something that tastes better than "alright" at the expense of a couple of seconds on your ride?

Edit to answer the question... they don't get blended that fine, so won't make any real difference. Oats in smoothies for the win!
