Getting off the slate topic for a second, is this from one of those dessert only places? I ask as they seem to be spreading like wildfire. Non where I am a couple of years ago, now about 5.

Guess there's a demand. Well, a 24hr drive through krispy Kreme has just opened, so that's without question 😯

Just how are you supposed to eat it without getting completely covered in gunk ?

Glad it's a kids thing.

I can't look at that wewantplates site, it makes me twitch. Although I do hope the sanitary towel one is a wind up but I'm really not sure

I don't 'get' the world any more. Buys more tinfoil and hides

No its a cafe. Do normal food as well. I didn't request the slate it's how it came. It's at the inland seaside town that is matlock bath. Must admit there were a lot of young folk there, daughter and her mates seem to live these places.

Theres also a bowl of sugar on the table behind it.

Oatcakes and Milkshakes in Stone, Stafford and (hopefully soon) cannock do similar. Also the oatcakes are banging.

Also on plates.

Right, I'm popping round to wrightysons to find out where this place is*. Given that we rode through Matlock Bath this morning.

Though if I'd had the milkshake before we tackled Cromford Hill, the results may have been spectacular 😐

*and to see if there is any pizza left over

Pick the first cafe you find without a functioning roof by the looks of things...

Right at the start of North parade if you're coming from matlock heading towards belper, as in opposite the midland. 3 tables outside, so, ideal for the lycra clad guest. Very busy though more cash.

The location sounds like F'Coffee.

We get hot chocolate in hipster jam jars here in Upper Ilkeston, I'll have you know!

Yup it's fcoffee. I didn't consume one of those, I merely had a nice cup of tea and a brownie. Even the tea pot and milk jug were a bit hipstery mind.

Slate is fine.

I do wonder how they clean them properly?

Not a fan of getting chips in those little basket/fryer things, tho.
