Surfing the box with sherry in hand and saw “New” Magnum PI on Pick TV. Thought wow they’ve found some lost Selleck work, but NO it’s a remake. What is this abomination? No Selleck, no fine ‘tache, nasty new Ferrari, awful English accent from new Higgins, too much mood music, wrecked the theme tune and cheesy stories which are too cheesy and not cheesy enough. Basically should never have been remade, the original was just too good. So avoid Pick TV, don’t sully your memory of the original with this.
It's not that new, it's a couple of seasons in (so a couple of years). It aired on Sky here IIRC.
You need to watch the first episode...they explain why it is a new Ferrari!
