Got a lovely new bike and have discovered road riding.
Four Tet playing loudly on the stereo. For which I've just got some tasty new speakers.
Company just had best month ever, subsequently providing highest ever yearly turnover.
Difficult new product launched today, went smoothly after endless amounts of hard work.
Said product being featured on the BBC on Sunday, massive boost for our company.

Just had a call from an agent wanting me for an interview next week. The employer wants to fast track my interview process for Technical Director so I can be compared against the two people they have been interviewing, one of which they rejected today.

I appear to be on a short list of two before I my first interview. God I must be good.

It's Friday
Finishing work in about 30 mins (if I can get off STW)
Off to Torridon tomorrow for a week with Mrs M and the 5 labradors
Bike all cleaned up with brand new Shimano flats (my first flat pedals)
Enough money in the bank to survive for a while when I am made redundant at the end of June.
Fitter and in better shape than I was 10 years ago

Just watched an old fella die peacefully at work, and it makes me think there's a lot of living still to do.
I creak and groan, I ache, I suffer for my activities, but while I still can, I will...

*I have just had an offer accepted on an utterly fantastic house in the South Lakes that we couldn't have afforded under normal market conditions!

*Life looks to be finally getting back on track again after several months.

*I have started riding my bike again 😉 Early days yet, but hopefully it is a new start like!

*Just been for an ace Italian meal, and a few ales! We may have wandered past the new house just to make sure it was still there too!

😀 Wife is 11 weeks pregnant with IVF child MkII, thankyou Fertility Associates!
Finished off 4 assignments on time last week, only one to go for a wee while.
My little girl is healthy and getting cuter by the day.
Sold a dumpster bike which I renovated into a nice ride to a mate to get him commuting for the princely sum of $100.
Will spend said dollars on myself at some point this week.
Also CFH what you been drinking lately? your posts are of exceptionally high calibre. 😀

I have a great wife and healthy children. I have great friends who I can call on.
This all reinforced by having no job, discovering that it's not the end of the world.

Well maybe I shouldn't admit to suffering depression and panic attacks and stuff, but I've been really struggling out here and am desperate to get home. I thought I was on a 3 month notice period, as did my boss, but going through my paperwork tonight I seem to have found a contract that says I am on one month's notice. I do actually need to work in May, but this week I will try and confirm I am just on one month's notice, meaning I can get back to Scotland for June as I so desperately want to do.

So yeah been struggling but am still one to try and change things around and am lucky I am in a position to do so.

My turn, had a fab late evening roadie yesterday, and ran the legs of a mate (first time this has happened, must be getting fitter) Trustyrusty came round this morning with lots of lovely SS bits for my new build, Button won the F1, have had a lovely lazy day with the Missus and our dog, just had a gorgeous roast beef dinner, oh and i start my new job tomorrow...

.... oh and i have a rhubarb crumble cooking which should be ready in about 10 minutes,

hardest thing now is what to have on it cream or ice cream (too warm for custard)

I've got a big bottle of Leffe Blonde and there's been a slow cooked stew on all day! (Meat from Robinsons, of course).

Might have to open a bottle of GOC to have with the stew! (GOC= Berry Bros Good Ordinary Claret, does exactly what it says on the bottle!)
