Mrs. B, the Boy and I are becoming the proud owners of a female Briard puppy in a couple of weeks time - sort of large black shaggy sheep dog thing. Very faithful, territorial and protective. Highly intelligent, and as such used by French shepherds, army and police as a working dog.

Full grown:

So, anyway, I thought you good folk might have some fun suggesting a few names?

Thanking yous! ๐Ÿ™‚

We nearly adopted the dog that awhiles from here had. It was called simba but he renamed him Parker. We were going to call him Diggy.

I'm not sure that fits here though.

Myface. On the assumption that she may lag behind on walks in the park and need to be called.

You can call it what you like, it won't hear a thing with all that fur.

Good luck. I hope you have a big house, a bloke at work has two fully grown and when they're both in the sitting room there's nowhere to put his feet.

Do others here find their dog's names grow? Our border terrier started out being called Pepper and is now Pepper Stumpig von Gobshite.

Fleur

Madame Cholet (We had a Bassett called this, shortened to Cholly as dogs apparebtly respond better to names ending in a vowel sound)

Bleu

We had a Cavvy called Keira, which got changed to Vera, then Veroddickles, then Roddles.
No wonder she wouldn't come back.

I'd go with one of Milkie's suggestions, Shaggy or Magoo. You could change them to Shag, Mag, or even Maggie.
