[Closed] My son is an idiot......

On March the 6th of this year, 2 months ago, our eldest punched a wall in school. He was getting wound up by someone and preceeded to walk away. After he left the room, one of his friends told him to punch the wall instead. And he did. He broke meta carpal 4 and 5 in his hand. 4 weeks in a cast and several trips to the fracture clinic and its healing well. Fast forward to today. I get a phone call from the school asking me to pick him up and get him checked out. He had tripped over his undone laces. I keep telling him to do his laces up, which his reply is usually in the form of 'can't be arsed, nothings going to happen anyway' or 'why should I, I've done them once already' After tripping over his laces, he fell over a chair in the class and landed awkwardly on his arm. Take him to the hospital, another x-ray and where his hand was healing it isn't anymore. The break is worse this time. Another 4-6 weeks in a cast and weekly trips to the fracture clinic. While I understand he may not strictly be an idiot and it is one of those things, he's still an idiot. I have done the proper parent thing and laughed lots etc. It's either that or scream.

"Forgot to say he is right handed and he has broken his right hand."

Reminds me of when I was at school and broke my righthand thumb when someone opened a car door while I was cycling.

My form teacher was also my home ecc teacher so knew me well and knew I had injured my writing hand and was doing all my work the the left hand. Got my marked homework back one lesson and she marked me down for having terrible handwriting! 🤨 😂
