converting what to mp3 or mp3 to what?

windows media player (yechh) will rip cds to mp3. so will winamp.
most cd/dvd burning software will go mp3 to .cda

i want nothing to do with Apple, thanks.

was gutted that my mum bought me an ipod. that was at christmas and it doesn't work now.

definitely under warrenty get it repaired!

You don't have to use Itune with an ipod, there a plugin that allow you to us Window Media player (doesn't work for iphones 3.0 though, Booo!)

Is this a trick question?...you don't want anything to do with Apple...so a Microsoft product perhaps...Windows Media Player (?) which is very likely already installed on your pc (?). Some old versions didn't rip MP3 but I've just checked mine (version 11) and it looks fine.

sorry i didn't reply earlier.

as mentioned above Windows can do it.

no, i don't like the whole Apple ipod thing. people with white earphones thinking they're 'it' having bought into a life style.

yes, still underwarrenty but i'm not in the UK. have just bought a Hama SD card reader mp3 thingy for 9€, about the same cost as sending the thing back to UK with insured post.
