Would some chamomile tea help, Drac?

EDIT - checks whether my posts have been edited, relieved they're not.

I seem to have had a post deleted (presumably by the mods and for making a "genderist reference" so "oblique" it was practically horizontal)

Two questions for the mods...

1. Is it 'coz I is a dude? I'm fatbike curious if that helps.

2. Should I be thoroughly ashamed or a tiny wee bit proud? I'm not really sure. 😳

Edit: (after a respectful wait): Cone of shame it is then. 😳

I sell tea and coffee as part of my bizniz have done my whole working life, never known it to be reference to ladies/women/girls/females or mountainbikers. It's caffeine free and allegedly has a calming influence

what this thread needs is some calm...[img]

Getting a semi from such comments you should be ashamed.

Ah! wait. That's not what you meant is it?

I don't like Chamomile tea.

I don't like Chamomile tea.

You should try it with a Yorkie. Adds a certain balance I find.

Not at all.

Chamomile Tea ( for girls, allegedly) Yorkie (not for girls, allegedly).

Balance, innit?

Oh! and ....Ladies can be hairy arsed truckers too. Balance, innit?

This thread is like every 'discussion' I've had with my wife. It starts off about one thing and then just when I think I understand it, we're suddenly talking about something completely different.

I don't even like chamomile tea but I'm prepared to drink it to keep the thread calm.

My wife likes it though. Makes you think, eh?

I've enjoyed reading this thread but, as a relative newcomer, I'm a bit shocked to see the curtain ripped aside to expose the inner workings.

I'm worried I'll be hearing that this isn't actually the team of hard-working moderators...

That's not what his wife says. Or is it husband? I get confused. I need to sit down with a nice cup of camomile tea.

Typical stw.

Can't even agree on how to spell the name of the tea that's under discussion.

Does it have a silent 'h' or no 'h' at all?

or is it pronounced so that the first bit rhymes with champ not camp?

Underground, overground womaning free,
The woman of Wimbledon, common that's me!

[edit]

Both spellings are correct which is why I've used both

That's just plain wrong! It's one word with one meaning it should have one spelling.

You'll telling me that the pronunciation is optional with either spelling next!

some people are quite sexist.

Oh I dunno about that OP, but if you could post a naked picture of yourself it'd certainly help me decide.

You'd have to be a bit camp to actually drink it.

Optional, equally valid pronunciations:

Chamomile or camomile (/?kæm?mi?l/ kam-?-meel or /?kæm?ma?l/ kam-?-myl)

I've never seen it spelt Chamomile before, at first I read it as Charmomile, as in telling the OP to drink some Charmomile Tea, then I thought everyone was just spelling it wrong and was quietly frothing in true STW style. 🙂

Here it is, although since my original post this thread has far exceeded the entertainment value of the angry bus thread. I almost feel ashamed to have initially equated the two.

This thread is amazing! Gone from a simple request/question to sexism in the forum.

How did that happen? Sometimes this place drives me insane with daft topics and argumentative replies, and sometimes it is is pure gold!

Today is a gold day (as was the bus thread day)

If you have a problem, and nobody else can help AND if you can find them...

You should hire the A Team.. Or Dominic Littlewood!

I'm away to flounce into the kitchen and put the kettle on.

Thing is, OP, your first post was lacking in manners and respect and that's why you've failed to get any in return.
