Don’t read about the wingsuit BASE in the new Point Break then:

That film doesn’t exist.

I'd also like to know what happen to the motorbike(s) - presumably there was either 1) some sort of late deploying parachute we don't see or 2) a whole group of people combing the ground at the bottom as I can't believe they'd just leave them after all that.....

**** me that's impressive.  Even if you know you've rehearsed the shit out of it you still have to actually do it

Hats off to the man, that was phenomenal. Bloody hell.

Am a big fan of the MI films and can’t wait to see this one. Didn’t realise how much of an adrenaline junkie Tom Cruise is, but 6 times riding a motocross bike off a cliff into a BASE jump! Unbelievable. I bet the footage for the film is amazing.

Yep, controlling fear on the real thing would be my Achilles heel...

Can’t help feeling this has ruined the film somewhat though, would’ve been better to wait & release this after (I know they want to build up buzz, etc)
Normally don’t even watch trailers and now I’ve already seen the film’s biggest stunt from like 6 different angles 😂 so it’s going to have considerably less wow-factor now when I see the actual movie!

Unless it’s the opening sequence that stunt will be no more than 1-2mins of the film. Mad.

It is a real shame that such a charismatic and clearly productive person is so deeply involved in a brainwashing cult that destroys so many lives.

So that means a 99.96% chance of survival. If he’s done 100 jumps (which there’s every chance he has), the chances of him surviving them all are .9996^100, which is 67%, give or take. 2-1 odds, oof.

Someone will be along soon with a Bayesian approach 😉

Tom Cruise is a phenomenal force in movie making. He comes over as very authentic and a real enthusiast for doing the best job possible. Money makes this easier of course, but he is amazing in what he does and how he does it.

I think "new" is stretching things.

Surprised there's no reviews here yet!

I love this franchise - they clearly put a lot of effort into making the films work on many levels.

Dead Reckoning - got to see it in a cinema in Grand Junction whilst on holiday to get out of the heat!

The film ticks many entertaining boxes but suffers a little for me. Too much has been made of the stunts and action scenes and are no longer as exciting due to over exposure.

The plot is potentially interesting with an AI theme but gets confusing quickly as to who is doing what. It starts off clear enough but I quickly got side tracked by what everyone was up to, and the baddies were not well defined, and not particularly threatening.

Not a patch on the last few films but still a bar above anything else that is a blockbuster.

I felt this was trying to out do  Indiana Jones this time too. It had shifted slightly towards that which I wasn't as keen on.

Still worth the trip to the cinema though.

Great soundtrack. And kudos to the editing, very clear actions scenes and the 2hrs43 flew by.

What the hell is is doing in a trailer titles thread when we have correctly named thread?

Bit of a resurrection of a thread, but we were in Hellesylt yesterday in view of the mountain Lil’ Tommy rode off.

This is apparently one of the bikes recovered. New bombers and a pair of wheels and it should be good to go ??
