Basically, I want a new iPad and I don't particularly want to play full price if I can possibly avoid it.

I suspect I've got no chance bar 1 or 2% cashback but am I missing an obvious supplier?

Argos are offering £20 off some models - I'm ignorant of whether you can use cashback on top.

Trade in your old for credit towards a new one at a apple store or sell your old one and use that towards the new.

Find a student, then buy it through the Apple education store. Might be a bit cheaper.

Its very hard to beat student discounts but they are not necessarily offered on iPads. I saved money on mine by buying it in the US.

^USA trip as above. Actually, any foreign country can work, the prices often get out of sync with exchange rates. My ipod touch is from a recent trip to Japan (and therefore got the benefit of being tax free too, which doesn't seem easy in the USA). About 100 quid below the UK price!
