Thinking of a long weekend riding somewhere warmer in the new year (Jan / Feb). Thinking Madeira / Malaga or similar. Nothing too techy, just fun & flowy good times.
Any recommendations please?

Recommend doing no such thing at present...

Take a view in January on what options you have but don't be surprised to discover it's between Manchester and Macclesfield not malaga and medeira

as above, I wouldnt count on going anywhere in Europe after January.
We'll have taken back control so are completely at the whim of the EU.

"I never thought they'd end MY freedom of movement" says one of the 13.9 million people who voted for the 'End Freedom of Movement party' a year ago.

Still..... British fish!

Leaving aside the COVID / Brexit bit of a mess...malaga is fantastic, but it's more techy than flowly. Lots of rocky walking trails. Maderia has more bike specific trails and lots of them are lovely and flowy.....however the weather is more variable. If a storm rolls in off the sea...then it'll be wet. When I went in Jan it rained every day!

Cough::
This is us
You can get to Barcelona year round from lots of UK airports, it was early-mid 20's in Jan this year but can be a bit cooler. Very little rain but the odd misty morning. Hundreds of km of trails from the doorstep and I'll show you round or give you a Garmin with trails loaded to follow. PM me for more info.
