39 steps is excellent.
You could also check out Firmdale hotels they do excellent dinner and private cinema deals. We went last week and loved it.

You might struggle with that.

The show will cost that alone for cheap seats probably.

You could go or afternoon tea (chicks dig that shit), then go to a comedy club or something.

My wife uses some online site to find cheap afternoon tea deals, have a search online.

Go to the Big Easy, great place in your budget and might get a bit of live music in the evening:

Would have suggested the hawksmoor (seven dials( but that would probably blow your budget unfortunately. Bloody good food though

Ah...that's more like it!

Me and Mrs McHamish like Wahaca...there's one near Covent Garden, but it's not very romantic.

Still think afternoon tea is a good option, try One Aldwich. It's quite fancy, you get a glass of champagne and tea, and afternoon tea.

You could do that late afternoon and then go to a show in the evening. Eating dinner and then going to a show tends to be a bit of a rush, this way you can take it easy.

I asked her and the URL is;

www.afternoontea.co.uk

Not sure how they came up with it to be honest.

Actually Wahaca is a great call. Lovely Mexican street food and pretty cool. Won't break the bank either but more fun than romantic.

If you do choose wahaca, I should warn you that there will be 30-45 min wait on Saturday night.
