10 of us are staying in Llangollen for a night at the start of March for a friends 50th. Has anyone got any recommendations for somewhere decent to eat?

The corn mill is great for gastro pub type evening and a great location.

Corn Mill. Get breakfast and coffee the next morning at Gradient food on Oak Street.

Another vote for the Corn Mill - with a link.
The other Brunning and Price pubs are good too.

We always head to the Simla Indian when at downhill events at Llangollen.

For lunch the Dee Side caffe bistro by the bridge serves excellent tasty food at very reasonable prices and the service is faultless. I stayed at Gales on Bridge Street and their food was home cooked and also very good. Good wine selection at Gales as well. As others have said the Corn Mill is a good choice for evenings.

Gales used to be the best in town, but we're rarely there these days, but I see they're still going.

We recently went to the Dee Side Caff - very 'average' for a cafe/fast food type place. If it is claiming to be a Bistro, I'd downgrade that to a 'poor'. Only stayed in Llangollen for 1 night, so didn't get to try anywhere else.

Gales is excellent if you prefer wine & a table full of tapas.
