Going on the run didn't make sense to me, surely they would of just said they acted in tye line of duty to preserve life like Davidson said in her interview.
Kate knew that a team were coming when she phoned Steve surely

I think she would have taken out the mag and cleared the gun of any ammo before handing it to Jo. That would have been less tense though. The chase ? Wtf! Again take those two bits out of the episode and what did you have?

Well, we now know that H is a woman, right? Crikey I can’t believe Ted didn’t spot that.

Cant help thinking the OCG are loosing site if their core values. They are devoting more energy at infiltrating the fuzz than good honest guns, drugs and girls. Criminals of today, what’s the world coming to!

Particularly hilarious. Let's shoot a serving police officer, go on a driving tour of the city with the person who set you up to be killed, get nicked, then get let out almost immediately despite strong indications you pulled the trigger - and straight back to work heading up the team which just lost a popular officer in the incident. Mate.

We learnt that Davidson didn't know her real dad and that try are wanting us to believe that her "dad" is dead in Spain.

All fingers pointing at the big police chief being the 4th H, so that's clearly not going to happen now!

We also learnt that Kate's still able to pull off some very precise shooting under stressful situations.

Thought Nesbitt’s performance was particularly stiff.

😂 That was Oscar winning compared to Bloodlands!

So, Carmichael is a wrong-un. Steve is the love-child of the chief constable and Jo's mother conceived while she was resident in the children's home, and was placed in AC12 by his dad who isn't the 4th H as thats waaay too obvious. Hastings finally finds out who the big cheese in the cops/ocg is, has a heart attack, taking that knowledge to the grave with him. Fade to black. (Oh, and someone appears in a shower, and its all been a rather weird dream.)

It's (unusually) a seven-parter so we get to find out all next week unless of course the writers think we'll keep sucking at this teat-of-nonsense-and-acronyms indefinitely.

Yeah, I'm a bit lost. She seems to maintain she's not bent...while admitting to be being pressured into doing stuff for the OCG. I don't really get what she thinks she is.

I also don't get why they did the whole Thelma and Lousie thing either.

Still enjoying it though, unlike the cool kids who feel they have to tell us they are not constantly.

I'm just sad they didn't find a way to abbreviate 'No Comment' to three letters.

I can't wait for series 7 so they can tell us how much more they aren't enjoying that!

Yep I think that’s pretty much how a chat forum works

( Mrs Kilo seems to like LoD but it is so excruciatingly and utterly unrealistic it annoys me so I try, not always successfully, to avoid it, does that make me a cool kid? 😉 )

Usually when I'm trying to avoid something I don't click a thread with the thing I'm trying to avoid in the title 😉

I’ve avoided the programme, the chat around it on here is quite interesting / amusing. Much like I have no interest in enormous genital warts but if I saw a thread on it here I’d probably click on it 😉

What if I told you 'H' actually stands for herpes? You read it here first.

I still find the series entertaining, it's just a shame they couldn't keep up the quality of the first few series. Doesn't feel like it can be adequately resolved in a single one hour episode, either.

They never do. It keeps the pace up. There will be a couple of resolved issues, some things wrapped up in the titles, some carrying over to the next series.

I couldn't help but thinking the Spanish armed police officer with the unconvincing accent had the look of Nesbitt about him, but obscured with face mask and night vision could just be another red herring. Makes you think.

Edit: ok, not just me either after a cursory google.

All they need to do is to sort out who killed Vellar, how that ties back to the OCG and which chief coppers are bent, fix Hastings retirement, wrap up the Davidson plot line, sort out Steve's bad back and his relationship with Corbetts widow, oh and the 50 grand she got from Hastings, then work out what happens next to Kate. How will they pad the last half hour after that lot gets done?

I'm clearly not paying attention. I'm sure someone said this was the final season.

From Jed: “We’re in a situation where it’s not entirely clear that there will be a seventh series,” he said. “We would hope there could be. But we’re having to do our planning coming out of COVID, and a whole bunch of other things, around the idea that these things aren’t guaranteed at all now.”

Hardly a sign of a final season

Unfortunately, you can't have it both ways, plotwise - they can't hold anything back for another series if there's a chance that series won't happen. You'd risk ending up with the final episode ever being a massive cliffhanger.

Perhaps, like Hannibal, all three of them will go over the edge of the AC12 foyer balcony and we'll never know...

Carmichael races to intercept Kate and Jo in the MX5, at the end of the scene she orders someone to look into the owner of the MX5.

The next morning she says she knew where to find them because they have trackers on all AC12 vehicles. But didn't know it was Steve's car as she points out the discovered it was his car later on.

Not seen a single episode so no comment from me other than my ex force mates reckoning Rosie was the most accurate TV cop show ever.
Times may have moved on however...

I assume that the person that fitted the tracker knew it was Steve's car as it is a service vehicle.

That was a very odd episode wasn’t it? Carmichael seems like the biggest miserable dickhead on earth. Hopefully she’ll be in with the OCG and get shot or knocked off next week. That or we’ll find out the last three series have been Steve hallucinating from all the painkillers.

Nah, they'll go for the Quantum Leap wrap up:

They never found out who H was

I didn't think this was made clear - nothing was mentioned other than Kate making the comment that Steve should have a grown-up car by now.

I'd have thought that any Police Service vehicles would have to be sensible, i.e. be able to carry 3 passengers and have a decent sized boot, and look professional. Doubt a sports car would cut the mustard.

Ah, yes, in the 'clanging script line for the purposes of plot expediency' that LOD does so , er, well.

Don't think that MX5 has ever been shown before, so guessing it is a private car. WHen she got the call to say they were tracking Katie, I assumed they will have told her (or she knew) that the tracking was possible because it was a member of AC12s car. In which case she could have been informed who on the drive to stop them (which in its self was very well prepared for such short notice! They knew exactly what road they would turn onto, in London, amazing haha)

in London

It's not London, it's some unnamed regional city (well, it's Belfast where it's filmed, but it's set in Manchestpoolhampton-upon-Tyne)
