My favourite of the Lewis chess pieces has to be the queen who looks like she's just remembered she's left the gas on
@matt_outandabout - when we were there in Sept' 2020 there was a couple in the 60s parked up in that layby emptying their grey waste tank from their massive £150k motorhome on to the gravel.
They happily told us they'd stayed there overnight as all the campsites were full and that they'd seen lots of irresponsible campervan activities. I pointed our that we were also in our van and had been staying locally on half-full campsites and that emptying grey waste into a parking spot was very naughty. They called me a ignorant fool. 🤦♂️
@ElShalimo - ars*holes everywhere.... I also last month told someone off from emptying grey tank in the ferry queue on Eriskay....
It was incredibly annoying as the islands did as much as they could to stay open for tourists (and much needed revenue) and they had really good organisation including a public info campaign about don't come unless you have accommodation booked etc etc
There's always someone who runs out for the majority of sensible people
