Haven't seen it mentioned on here, so just an FYI this kit was released a couple of weeks ago.

Mine arrived today - pleased. 1158 pieces of awesomeness 🙂

I have the Technic Enzo they did a few years ago. It's awesome!

How long would it take to build something like that?

Two or three rainy weekend afternoons if being "helped" by a four year old.

I am really baffled by the appeal of this - is it not really boring following 1000 steps? Are these "adult" style kits harder to put together or do they just require a lot more patience?

We have a Lego La Ferrari, it's ace. I was a little terrified taking it home as a holiday present, for a girl, but she loves it. It's roughly 1100 pieces less than that F40 mind!

Add a bottle or two or red wine into the mix and they get VERY complex and challenging.

This could possibly look like a Dualit toaster by the time I'm done.

As a service to the forum, should you find this too challenging I hereby offer my services as a builder. Simply send the kit to me and I shall return it fully assembled the next day, free of charge to STW members.

You're welcome.

That looks a great kit, from matching the style of the car but I just feel a little sad that they didn't build it in the technic range, to have moving engine parts, suspension etc.
My daughter received the technic supercar model as a gift and it is fantastic, powered gullwing doors, double wishbone suspension, great, complicated gearbox, differentials and all the gubbings.
At just under £100, for me, the supercar is a better kit, albeit not a Ferrari.
