Anyone know if there's a reason behind the price hike in lcd panels?

Have to replace a laptop screen that £35 a couple of weeks ago, they're on ebay from the same seller for £435.

Supply demand issues probably ? We're finding it difficult getting laptops at work.

The seller is probably out of stock but doesn't want to have to relist the item when it is back in stock ... so they have bumped the price up so none are sold while they are waiting for stock.

Possibly

Yeah - I've seen similar with bike stuff, sale cancelled due to lack of stock then massive price hike. From what I remember it wasn't anything special that you'd expect someone to be desperate for, so this seems more likely for whatever underlying reason.

Makes sense, thank you. Had me a bit concerned.
