Garden needs work to make it safe for TheLittleRed, had a couple of quotes for what is basically putting a vegetable patch in, building up an area of paving and replacing a couple of places.
We've been burned before by dodgy tradesman but given that none of them want payment until the work is done, surely I can't go wrong.
Can I???

ISTR there's a horticultural trade association, it's probably worth checking there.
