Hi looking at a walk in Lakes tomorrow which one would you recommend

Buttermere high pike onwards to haystacks

Or

Old man coniston?

Old man via Dow crag and brown/ buck pike then over swirl how and down the prison band via levers water. That'll miss most of the hordes if they are out.

Buttermere - Red Pike, along the ridge then across to Haystacks.

Views are better IMO - stuff like Pillar Rock across Ennerdale, great views of the Gables and Scafell. Great walking too.

TBH I'd be happy with anything that got me above 2000ft as soon as possible!

No idea what route it was, but did Buttermere to I think Haystacks, hike a bike (plus a few other passes). Few weeks back. It was basically walking, but with a bike on your back. Not sure I'd do that again. Most walkers about thought we were idiots. Friendly bunch though and nice scenery.

Probably up scarth gap I'd imagine. A decent carry from memory..

For me it would all come down to where you were starting out from. Those 2 options are quite geographically separate.....
