Hi all,

After a mountain bike skills course a few months ago I'm now able to tackle previously scary looking drops and jumps. One of the main things I was shown was the push a couple of frets before the lip of the jump, and this changed everything.

I'm going snowboarding in a few weeks, I'd consider myself pretty compedent and can just about manage front side 180's on small kickers. Is there any techniques or tips (like the mtb push) that I could try to apply on the board?

Thanks!

For general riding about the mountain, learn to ollie on the flat(spring off the tail and bring your knees up, think bunny hops) rather than 'jumping', you should be able to get height. Then move on to small drops and rollers on the piste.
Just don't do this on park kickers, they are already shaped to throw you on the right trajectory. Just approach them, knees bent and relaxed at a decent speed.
