I am having a disagreement with the Mrs, can you please help settle it?

What film is Julie Andrews best known for?

I’d say Sound of Music, but Mary Poppins could run it pretty close. Definitely not S.O.B.

Poppins for me but that's probably because I watched it a lot as a child where as I don't think I've seen SOM all the way through.

That clears that up then, thank you.

I was Mary Poppins, the good lady, Sound of music (which I’ve never seen).

I admit defeat graciously.

By not bothering to watch it. As soon as it starts I don't like it so don't watch it. Mary Poppins is great though.

The Princess diaries?

I've never watched SOM all the way through but my missus is obsessed so I've seen bits.
The basic moral of the story appears to be if you delegate your parenting duties to an inexperienced Nun you'll end up on the run from the Nazis. But Nazis can be tricked and evaded with cunning... and songs.

Actually Mary Poppins has a similar theme.
The moral being you real should vet anyone looking after your children properly.

What follows is of course told from the perspective of the children, as they are plied with various substances and taken on a 48 hour acid fuelled bender through the seedy underbelly of Victorian London...

I'd not realised before but I feel like Julie was type cast by Disney perhaps to her detrement, she can seemingly only play confidence tricksters that manipulate children...

I always admit when I’m wrong, this is one of those instances, however I am wrong far less than she is 😂.

It seems I should watch the sound of music.

You should do no such thing. It's very long and there's singing.

Am I in a minority for thinking Mary Poppins is overhyped nonsense?

Sound of Music I can cope with much better.
