I too grew up listening to him. Went to Glastonbury in 93(ish). None of the group i went with wanted to go and see him but I went and he played Boy Named Sue, Jackson, Delias Gone etc. Brilliant. Most of my mates now realise they ****ed up big time that day.
Kris Kristofferson is a better song writer as is Guy Clarke and so was Townes Van Zandt but Cash could own any song.

Takes a genius to do this with a Sting song
Not only Sting but Bono as well, how do you measure that level of genius, it's off the scale.
