Alternative John Lewis Christmas ad put together by a local (to me) pair:
Very nicely done and more importantly, really brings home the important stuff to remember at this time of year: other people.
I've watched it a few times and shed a tear each and every one of them.

Having had my dad in hospital a few times this year, it's a bit dusty in here...
Much better than the adverts trying to sell us more crap.

Brilliant - got a little dusty here! I shall be spending much of the Christmas holiday helping homeless people enjoy the festive period otherwise I would be spending it on my own.

Yes- it's a shame they don't get more widespread recognition (and donations to the charities they create the films for).
The one with the little boy and the puppy is very good. Went on and made a donation to guide dogs straight after!
