Wonderful!

I love the way the mult-sport athletes all come together at the end. There's a real camaraderie there. Wonderful.

Great job.

But spoiled for me by the massive over hyped media exposure that she's had. Sorry, but there you go.

Hey, I apologised, but its spoiled for me by the media exposure. If you are the best and all we hear for weeks is that you are the best, then winning is expected. I don't see how the best being the best is exciting.

Superb job, but spoiled by the frantic media scrum.

I do wonder if the rest of the world is going "wait... what?"

We're very firmly third overall in the medal stakes at the moment. USA and China are runaway leaders and it probably won't last but, it's a nice feeling.

As much as Wiggo deserves spoty, Ennis is a shoe-in on several counts.

No women were nominated last year
Cav won and I doubt they really want someone from the same sport two years in a row.
He may not want it! A few more sweary moments will help him out if thats the case, unless it backfires and he becomes the most reluctant spoty ever.
Something about aesthetics, cos us Brits are a fickle lot..

PoppyD I think it's because we're now taking it seriously. Too many years of champagne flutes on the hurdles but now it's all serious training.

This. No attitude just common respect. As for Jessica, she is awesome. To pull a finish like that is just something else. I cried.

Just UNBELIEVEABLE, how she blasted to the front on the last part of the last lap.... words fail me! And as for the British crowd, well! And Mo's just got gold to boot!!!!!!
