Yes mate. Had a power cut at home so went up for a few hours. Lovely and frozen, no mud and lots of fun. Only downside was full of walkers.

Did a goatee thing for 3 weeks before xmas and it was a mix of grey, black, ginger but mostly white white !

My missus reckoned it made me look 60 and it was bloody itchy.

Also amazes me how certain people who look baby faced when clean shaven can grow one in days eg. Ewan MacGregor became grizzly biker almost overnight !

mike i cant have a beard as it will let air out of my facemask ;-( buggers i couldnt have a beard in the army and now cant have one in the fire brigade . at least i get free clothes lol

I thought it must be something like that. I don't need to wear facemasks for teaching, so I can get away with it 🙂

I'm back at work on Monday, where I have a webcam so can more easily snap a pic and stick it up on the web.

Wife thinks I'm crazy and threatens sanctions should I keep it up.

I often go a week or two without shaving and the wife's always a bit disappointed when I shave, so she's quite excited that I'm going to leave it for a month.

I'm gonna claim the initiative for January King of Beards under my old username (sore_tint), however I have also had a headstart as an expected shave over christmas didn't occur and I'm now 3 weeks into my biggest beard ever, albeit not that big. I still have January as a target, though and will post pics soon.
